Peter Schweger ancestor from Alsace France

Good Afternoon -
While doing research on my family tree, documentation that I found was that we come from "Alsace France". Our last name was "Americanized" to Swager but was Schweger from the paperwork I have found. It is noted that Peter (still a family name!) Schweger was born "around" 1805. If there is any direction that you can give me to find additional information, I would be very thankful!
