My gr gr grandfather's birth record

My gr gr grandfather, George Henry Kuhn was born in 1821 in Alsace- Lorraine according to U.S. censuses. He immigrated to America in 1850 according to U. S. censuses. I found a letter that said his father's first name was Frederic and mother's first name was Barbara ( Barbe). I do not know Barbara's maiden name. I have searched the online French records for Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin and Moselle for his birth records but found nothing. Please help me find his town/village of birth.
