My Alsatian Heritage...

Growing up... I was told that my ancestors were German and Irish. Mostly German on both sides.

Anyways, I found out about 20 years ago that the German side of my family, both came from Alsace. I found that bizarre. Both my mom's and dad's ancestors came from there and both settled in the Midwest of United States?

Small world. So, I grew up thinking that everyone in Alsace, looks similar to myself and my family! ;)

It is my life long dream to speak Alsatian, indulge in the culture and visit the place where I truly come from.
