Looking for Roth and Folzenlogel relatives from Alsace

by Roth
(USA)

Both sides of my family are from Alsace. My father's last name is Roth and my mother's family name is Folzenlogel.

In 1849, my great, great grandfather, Joseph Folzenlogel sailed to New York city on a boat called 'The Nicholas'. His father's name was Jacques Nicholas Folzenlogel and his mother's name was Marie Ann Grusenmeyer. Jacques Nicholas's father and mother was Jean Michael Folzenlogel and Marie Ann Juchs.

My great, great grandfather on my father's side was Peter Roth. He was a glass blower from Differton, Germany. He was born May 25, 1850 and emigrated to the US in 1881.

My wife and I will be visiting France for the week of Christmas and will be spending Dec. 26th in Alsace, France. If any related Roths or Folzenlogel's see this post and can meet us over the holiday, that would be fantastic.

Thanks.

Hello cousin?
by: Kristopher Knue

Good afternoon. I was online and stumbled onto your post. I'm a descendent of Joseph Folzenlogel also. His daughter Elizabeth (Libby) was my great-grandmother.
