Looking for family

I hope this site is still active. I'm looking for the other half of my husbands family. This is all I have to go on.
Name: Emil Baumann
Born:May 4 1864
Place is hard to nail down but only thing Mulhouse,haut-rhin Alsace Lorraine. Is the only thing we have.
He immigrated to texas through Galveston in 1881. I can find everything in the U.S., but nothing before America. His Death certificate says his fathers name is Meke Baumann and Mother looks like Dart Kruser but I'm not to sure on that one. Their birthplace has germany listed. I would love to find those two and more if possible.
