Krieger and DeAurant Families research

I am trying to research the Krieger Family from Saarland, Germany and Baden-Wurttemburg, Germany and also the DeAurant Family from Alsace, France. I have hit a road block with researching these families and would love any help that I can get. Thank you!

Just some advice ;)

Most people with Alsace ancestry will have some relatives in Germany and Switzerland. It's pretty common.

Jacob Krieger and Catherine DeAurant married and came to America around 1840. They settled in Ohio. Catherine DeAurant's father may be named Arents. I have no other information.
