How common is the surname Chavoen in Alsace Lorraine

I am trying to find out more about my father’s family as we know very little. His father, Raymond Joseph Chavoen was born in Pennsylvania and his family came from Alsace Lorraine. He divorced my father’s mother when my father was a child. His mother was Anna McCormack. Her roots are from Ireland or Scotland but she died relatively young and we never knew her.

Any help with the Chavoen name would be greatly appreciated.
