Festivals are a great way to be around local Alsatians...

When the weather is nice they love to be outside as much as possible and there are lots of festivals in Alsace in the warmer months.

If you're in a touristy area you may see more tourists than locals unfortunately...

But there will be music, some sort of show or parade, regional food, possibly small carnival rides for children, maybe some farm animals for children to interact with, and people selling all sorts of things.

This is a picture from a Brotfascht which is the bread festival.

Fascht is how Alsatians say fest which is the German word for festival or party.

Fête is the French word for festival or party.
