Birth and Death Record for Reverend Godfrey Rapp or Raub

by Mildred
(Pennsylvania USA)

Godfrey Rapp is mentioned in the historical record of his grandson, Philip Henry Rapp Jr. Philip Jr attempted to recover all goods due from the estate of his grandfather, the Reverend Godfrey Rapp of "Sulz" in Lower Alsace (Bas-Rhin) near Strasbourg.

If I can connect Godfrey's authenticity as a minister to the ministry of Rev. Philip Henry Rapp Sr in Nockamixon Township, Pennsylvania, I can apply to the Daughters of the American Colonists.

I have documentation for the ministry of Rev. Philip Henry Rapp Sr.

Thank you for any help.

Godfrey Rapp
by: Melissa

Hi Mildred,

Pastor Godfrey Rapp is also my ancestor. My brother and I just returned from a trip to Europe.

We visited the church where we believe Godfrey Rapp was the pastor from 1744-1752. Unfortunately the church records for that time period were destroyed by a fire.

However, after meeting with the current pastor and comparing their records that he has with what we have we have concluded that Godfrey was indeed the pastor during the time period I mentioned.

I would like to know the birth and death dates of Godfrey Rapp, whose son was Phillippus Henricus Rapp, who emigrated to the USA in 1750, lived in Nockamixon Twp., Bucks County, PA, USA and his grandson Philip Henry Rapp who bought land in Holland Twp, Hunterdon County, NJ. USA. Also I would like to know the places of his birth and death.
