How can I find Baptism records from 1849 from Niedersteinbach and Obersteinbach? I've been able to find civil records, but not Baptism from this time frame.

You'll have to look in church records for this. Protestant or Catholic will depend on your family's beliefs at the time.

Those records personally I've found harder to read. Civil records are usually easier. But church records can be found online in some cases.

With all records, sometimes they were destroyed by fire or war or other events over time.
