Which town should be our base?

I have read so much about many towns near Colmar, but I CANNOT decide on the best one. My boyfriend and I are backpacking and plan to stay in the area for about 4 days.

Which is the best village to stay in where we can walk to other nearby villages and walk to Colmar? We are also willing to split it up and spend 2 nights in one village and 1 night at maybe a more luxurious hotel to treat ourselves.

Right now top on my list is Turckheim and Kaysersberg. What do you suggest? Our priorities are beautiful easily accessible vineyards and trails to walk on, great restaurants, minimal touristy feel.

Help with Travel Plans

Hi Caroline,

Geez...I'm just so busy right now with preparing travel plans and private tours at the moment. I just don't have a lot of time...

My travel plans are very detailed and answer every question you could possibly have about your trip.

I suppose I could offer something inbetween like a one hour consultation where you can ask me a lot of questions and sort of clear your head of any doubts about travel decisions. My hourly rate works out to 30 euros for most work.
