Where to stay in Northern Alsace and how much to expect to spend ?

My husband and I are planning a trip to Germany and Alsace as he lived the first two years of his life in Germany, and I am half German and half Alsatian.

My family is from Durrenbach and Surbourg. Where would you suggest staying for just a couple days, and do you know the price ranges?

My husband is almost fluent in German, but I know no other language except English.

Finding Hotels in Alsace

Hi Kari,

I looked on Google Maps to see where Durrenbach and Surbourg are and noticed that they are relatively close to Haguenau.

Durrenbach and Surbourg look like they are small villages so they may not have any hotels, but Hagenau is a relatively large town and I'm sure they have quite a few places to stay.

Here's a list of hotel choices in Haguenau

It will give you an idea of the price range for hotels in that area too...
