I am just starting to research my gg grandmother, Catherine Foltz (1831-1901) from the Haut-Rhin. She married Sebastian DELL of Rouffach circa 1860. I would like to connect with the people who may be researching the Foltz family. I do not have her place of birth at this time. Merci bien.

There's a good chance you could find out more about her through her marriage certificate.

She was probably born in or near Rouffach. That has been my experience most of the time.

I would work through Sebastian DELL who you know is from Rouffach to get to your great great grandmother.

Catherine was born 1 November 1838 in Hattstatt. She married Sebastien Dell 25 January 1860 in Guebwiller.
