Here are a few places you can look for canoeing, kayaking, and rafting in Alsace... No guarantees that anyone speaks English, but you could get lucky and find someone who speaks some English. <b>Eaux Vives near Basel</b> <a href="http://www.ville-huningue.fr/dn_white_water_kayaking_canoeing/?setLang=E" target="_blank">This one is nice because they have built a wild river area where you can go kayaking or even learn to do it or go in the canals where the water is more calm.</a> It's in Huningue which is a village in southern Alsace near the Swiss border. It's very well known in Alsace amongst those who love kayaking. <b>Guided Canoeing and Canoe Rentals near Colmar</b> <a href="http://alsacecanoes.free.fr/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=2704" target="_blank">Here is a local company that does Canoe tours all over Alsace...</a> You can either hire them to take you on a tour on any number of rivers in Alsace. You'll find them listed on the web page above. <a href="http://alsacecanoes.free.fr/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=2692" target="_blank">Or you can rent a canoe and go it alone...</a> Grussenheim is not far from the Rhine river and its canals in the middle of Alsace not far from Colmar.
