Where to Stay in Alsace during Christmas
by: Suzele

Hi Maria,

I'm so glad you like my website!

Where you decide to stay in Alsace depends on what you prefer...

Christmas is probably the biggest tourist season of the year for Alsace because it's just so great!

And it doesn't matter when you come in December, you'll find plenty to do...

Here's where you find the 2010 Christmas Market calendar

Some people like staying in big cities. Some people like staying in little villages.

If you like big cities, than Strasbourg or Colmar are your only real choices (although Colmar isn't really a huge city).

And if you love tiny little villages, you have plenty to choose from!

Here's where you'll find a list of all the interesting villages in Alsace

For those of you not driving, only look at the villages with an asterisk (*) next to them. That means they have a train stop.

I've given you a few keywords next to each village to help you choose between them.

Hopefully you'll find it helpful and useful.

If you'd like to take the beaten path, here are the very well known villages in Alsace (also known as touristy Alsace--just be prepared for tour buses full of people).

If you would like to have a special one of a kind Alsace trip where you see the Alsace that only the locals know about, you'll find more information about that here...

Have fun!
(and remember to come back and tell us all about it)
